Genesis 7: The Preservation of Mankind
In Genesis 6 Noah was instructed to build an ark in preparation of a great flood the God was bringing forth on the land. And Noah was told that God would establish a covenant with him.
Noah and his family, along with representatives of different species of animal life, which included both male and female, were to reside in the ark. And Noah was to gather all kinds of food to meet the needs of all those on board.
In chapter 7 Noah is instructed to bring in clean and unclean animals in sevens and pairs, respectively, with them on the ark, he’s told to bring male and female of each, to maintain seed on all the earth.
I believe this demonstrates how both mankind and animal kind, all which breathe the breath of life, have been blessed with the ability to reproduce after like kind by way of seed, not requiring the need for the Creator to create again.
Male and Female of All Flesh
Chapter 7 makes multiple mentions of male and female of all flesh.
It is clear, God’s intention was for all flesh in which is the breath of life, who entered the ark, not only to be preserved but also to be fruitful and multiply in the future, given they’re being in pairs: male and female.
So, with the rescue of Noah and his family, as well as the various species of animals and their kinds, God’s provision of fruitfulness, and dominion for mankind, established in the beginning (as recorded in Genesis 1:27-28), remained intact.
