Genesis 5: The Genealogy of Man

Genesis 5:1 reminds the reader that Adam was made in the image of God. This is the genealogy of men in the day in which God made Adam; in the image of God he made him: male and female he made them, and blessed them; and he called his name Adam, in the day in which he made them. (Genesis 5:1 Brenton LXX) The entire chapter of Genesis 5 lays out one leg of the house of Adam through a line of sons, or sowers of seed, starting with Seth and continuing through to Noah. A Son After His Own Form and Image Notice the detail given in verse 2…

Genesis 4: The Seed of the Woman

A Man Knows a Woman In Genesis 3:20 it is established that Eve (aka Life) was the mother of all living, and the following passages in Genesis 4 make it clear that the man, who is the father, also known as the progenitor, is the sower of seed. And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and brought forth Cain and said, I have gained a man through God. (Genesis 4:1 Brenton LXX) And Cain knew his wife, and having conceived she bore Enoch; and he built a city; and he named the city after the name of his son, Enoch. (Genesis 4:17 Brenton LXX) And Adam knew Eve…

Genesis 2: The LORD God Formed Man and Woman

The Book of Genesis (The Generation) Genesis 2:4 begins by saying: This is the book of the generation of heaven and earth, when they were made, in the day in which the Lord God made the heaven and the earth, and every herb of the field before it was on the earth, and all the grass of the field before it sprang up, for God had not rained on the earth, and there was not a man to cultivate it. (Genesis 2:4-5 Brenton LXX) The Greek word translated here as “generation” is genesis (G1078), which means source, origin. It comes from the word genos (G1085), which means kindred, coming from the…

Genesis 1: God and the Natural Order

God: Maker of Heaven and Earth Genesis 1 introduces “God” as the Maker of heaven and earth. And all throughout the Bible we see references to this capital-G “God”. The Hebrew word translated as “God” in verse 1 is “elohim”, which is plural, and “probaby prolonged (emphatically) from “el” (H410)”, which means “mighty one“, according to Brown-Driver-Briggs (BDB). “El” is shortened from “ayil” (H352), which means “ram”. In the Greek Septuagint, “Elohim” is translated as “o theos” (G3588 & G2316) in this verse, which literally translates into English as “the god”, hence the likely reason why it is capitalized in English. According to Thayer’s Greek definitions, it is of uncertain…

The Book of Enoch’s Prophecy of Weeks

92-1. The book written by Enoch–[Enoch indeed wrote this complete doctrine of wisdom, (which is) praised of all men and a judge of all the earth] for all my children who shall dwell on the earth. And for the future generations who shall observe uprightness and peace. 2. Let not your spirit be troubled on account of the times; For the Holy and Great One has appointed days for all things. 3. And the righteous one shall arise from sleep, [Shall arise] and walk in the paths of righteousness, And all his path and conversation shall be in eternal goodness and grace. 4. He will be gracious to the righteous and give him…

    My Spiritual Expedition

I’m in favor of searching out a matter within the Bible. That’s how I got to where I am today. However, I believe it is necessary to first have a foundation that is based on what is physically true/real & self-evident before going on any spiritual expeditions. The Course I Took When I began to question what I understood about the Bible, I started seeking out answers to specific questions I had concerning what the Bible said, and that journey took me all over the place. And it was exciting! It was like the book was brand new to me. I started washing myself in it, and I began to…

    Finally Answering the Call

Okay, maybe I’m a little late, but I’ve been debating back and forth with myself over the past year as to how to best carry out my calling at this moment in time. It seems the phone has been ringing for a while now, and I feel a sense of urgency welling up within me to answer it already. I believe those who have wakened in the last year either to the wicked agenda of the powers-that-be, or to the realization that the powers-that-be shouldn’t even be, are likely going to need a bit of direction going forward. And, I believe, there are those who may have already been awake…

How Can Jesus Be Perfect If He’s Begotten of Joseph?

In a recent post on the Facebook Group, Intense Biblical Discussions, someone asked in response to those, like myself, who claim Joseph to be the biological father of Jesus, How do 2 imperfect people produce perfect offspring? To which I responded, What is considered perfect offspring? The poster’s initial response was, without sin..1 peter 2: 22. My reply: Consider the context…“For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself…

Matthew 1, Isaiah 7 and Emmanuel

Immediately preceding the quote of Isaiah 7:14 in the first chapter of Matthew, the author relays the words of the messenger to Joseph saying, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 Most understand the author’s mention of “she shall bring forth a son” and the fact that the child shall be called a name as being the spark that ignites the reference to the words in Isaiah 7:14. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,…

Joseph is the Star of Matthew 1

Modern Christianity makes Mary, who they identify as the Virgin Mary, the star of Matthew 1. However, while Mary may have been a leading lady of all the other females mentioned in that chapter, she is only a supporting figure to the star of that chapter, which to any objective viewer is Joseph. Mary is simply described to the reader. However, it is Joseph’s genealogy that is being laid out in verses 2-16, not Mary’s. And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Matthew 1:16 And it is a scene from Joseph’s life that is being highlighted — his thoughts expressed,…
